  • Evansville’s Christmas Parade will take place on November 23 at 2:30 p.m. on North Main Street—featuring a snowy village with falling snow and hand-painted nutcrackers—and families will enjoy holiday menus from local restaurants with free hot chocolate at warming stations and pre-parade activities at Hope City Church from noon to 2:30 p.m.  44 News
  • The Vanderburgh Humane Society received a $35K grant from the Evansville Endowment Fund to replace two boilers that have provided heat and hot water for nearly 22 years at its facility. The new boilers will keep animals, volunteers, and staff warm in upcoming winters—helping the society maintain essential services.  44 News

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Germania Männerchor Christkindlmarkt returns to Evansville on Saturday, November 22 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. marking its 8th year as a free event. The celebration turns a historic hall into a cozy German village with handcrafted treasures, artisan gifts and festive children’s crafts — inviting everyone to enjoy a classic holiday tradition.  14 News
  • Evansville residents can share photos & details of the best holiday lights displays for the Courier & Press Holiday Lights map that will be published Thanksgiving week. Submissions must be sent by Nov. 24 so that the map shows all the best local spots.  Courier & Press

  • The Courier & Press has asked local high schools to nominate one student each month and has featured three top nominees—Isabella from Harrison, Thomas from Mount Vernon, and Kaiden from Reitz—recognized for academics, leadership, and community service.
