- ➤ The Tri-State Food Bank held two food giveaways Tuesday—one at Grace Point Church on West Iowa Street in Evansville and the other at New Life Church on Crabtree Avenue in Owensboro—and officials said they will keep providing relief until everyone can return to normal. 14 News

- ➤ Friends of 14-year-old Alex Hessler established a bible study group named in his honor after he was killed in a car crash in Vanderburgh County this weekend; the group, started by his friends, has grown from six to 51 members as they honor his faith and legacy. 14 News

- ➤ Tuesday, the Koch Family Children’s Museum on 5th Street cut a ribbon to unveil upgrades including new fencing around the lobby, a welcome desk, the 'Like a Duck to Water' exhibit, and added interactive equipment for the Quack Factory — changes that refresh a beloved local spot. The museum also launched its new mobile cMoe-to-Go center — a service that will visit events across the region to bring the experience to more visitors. 14 News
- ➤ Legendary musician and comedian Weird Al Yankovic will perform at Evansville's Ford Center on June 16 as part of his Bigger and Weirder Tour next summer—presale tickets began on Tuesday. Courier & Press

- ➤ EVSC partnered with Southern Indiana Career and Technical Center to host the Future Women of Criminal Justice Symposium—Boonville High School senior Taylor McRoberts was chosen as host while law enforcement, FBI members, and local deputies spoke to inspire female students, and attendees enjoyed a brunch and group photo to mark the day. 14 News

- ➤ Data from the Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor shows CenterPoint customers in Evansville have 16,026 accounts that are over 60 days late on bills, with nearly $5 million owed and 14,469 disconnect notices sent in September. The numbers sharply increased from last year, when 9,286 accounts were late with about $2.3 million owed — a jump linked to a rate hike and higher energy use during a hot summer. Courier & Press
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Monday, Evansville City Council approved $300K from American Rescue Plan Act interest funds—money to help groups like Tri-State Food Bank, Feed Evansville, Young and Established, and the Salvation Army buy food and stock pantries for the holiday season. Although SNAP benefits have been restored, local organizations said the funding meets ongoing food needs in the community. Courier & Press
- ➤ Koressel Road between Upper Mt Vernon Road and Marx Road will be closed from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. today for ditch work — the road remains open only for emergency and local traffic — so drivers should use alternate routes to avoid delays. 14 News
- ➤ More than three years after a massive fire, crews worked on demolition at the burned Morton Ave. warehouse site Tuesday morning as city officials said IDEM & EPA are beginning the cleanup process. 14 News
