- ➤ This week, the Red Bank library will hold celebration events before its demolition, with an origami event Monday from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. and an info session Thursday from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. where visitors may leave messages on the farewell wall. 14 News
- ➤ The Salvation Army of Evansville announced that donations will be matched up to $15,000 from Dec. 11—13 in Vanderburgh, Warrick and Posey counties. The organization provided over 226,000 meals and nearly 5,000 nights of lodging last year. 14 News

- ➤ The Lord's House Church was destroyed by fire Saturday near Third Street and Meyer Avenue, leaving the building a total loss and canceling Sunday’s service while community members step in to offer support. 44 News
- ➤ U.S. Army Specialist Jackson 'Jac' Corum, a native of Evansville killed in a Fayetteville motorcycle accident on Nov. 22, will have funeral arraignments at Boone Funeral Home with visitation at 11 a.m. and a Celebration of Life at Christian Fellowship Church on Dec. 13 (live stream available), honoring his service. 44 News

- ➤ Fifth grader Charlie Palmer from Evansville Day School is set to make his professional acting debut in the role of Ralphie in A Christmas Story, The Musical as part of an off-Broadway traveling production this week — beginning Friday in Biloxi and running through December 27. 14 News

- ➤ Harrison High School’s Isabella Rosell was named Courier & Press Top Student for November today at 3:45 a.m. CT after earning 61 percent of the votes, and she is honored for her leadership, academic excellence and volunteer work + active involvement in school sports. Courier & Press
- ➤ The University of Evansville received a $35,000 grant from the William E. Schmidt Foundation to fund opera productions, community outreach, and scholarships for its music conservatory programs (a partnership active for over 20 years) that supports local arts and develops future vocal performers. 44 News

- ➤ The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office has partnered with local group 4 Good Community & launched a supply store stocked with donated essentials for deputies to use during emergencies. Sheriff Robinson said the initiative will bring extra comfort and support to residents in tough moments. 14 News

- ➤ Todd Wilkerson retired on Dec. 8 from Heritage Hills High School after a 14-year career with 122+ wins and a Class 3A state championship in 2024. - ➤ Professional Bull Riders will return to the Ford Center on Saturday, May 30, 2026 for their fifth consecutive year — the event directs proceeds to support local organizations in the Tri-State area. 14 News
- ➤ The Evansville Thunderbolts hosted their annual Teddy Bear Toss on Friday night at the Ford Center, collecting 4,304 stuffed animals for children in need in the Tri State area. The team will deliver the items on Thursday, Dec. 11. 44 News
